It depends on the load rating of the rim.I asked on another thread but no answer . Can you put hotrod wheels on the bronco and put the 35s on them? Are they more likely to slip the bead off road?
Most rims designed for cars have a lower load rating than is safe for 4x4s.
A 4x4 can see most of its entire weight shifted to one wheel.
Cars don't have that happen. Unless they are in an accident.
You need to be very careful shopping for Bronco rims on a site like Summit Racing, which has both car and 4x4 rims for sale.
OTOH, don't buy universal design BroDozer rims made to fit up to 2500 pickups.
Those rims will be stupidly heavy.
