Been looking around on here and I haven't found anything on how to properly clean the engine bay. I'm not car savvy at all so I was just wondering if anyone has any tips so I don't break anything. Thanks!

I used simple green in a spray bottle and got all the mud good and soaked , then I hit it with a garden hose. Scrubbed a lil bit on the really caked on stuff.

I’ve hit mine with a pressure washer (2300psi) about 3-4 times and have had no issues. I don’t know if it’s the right or wrong thing to do but so far it has worked! I’m sure someone on here can tell you the right way but this is my experience.

Do not use high pressure. A detailer once fried my Mercedes ecu with a pressure washer near the hood cowl.

I’m sure there’s some helpful YouTube videos to help with the do’s and don’t with engine bay cleaning.

Disconnect negative battery terminal. Put a bag over battery and air intake. Spray and soak with simple green or degreaser. Rinse off with hose. Blow dry with shop vac. Reconnect battery and drive for 10 mins.

Cover your alternator! There's a good video on it but... that's all the way over on YouTube.
