I know that BFN Truck Shop is selling pained OEM grille letters for the bronco. Has anyone done this? If so, how did you melt the heat stakes on the back to attach them? I like the idea of attaching them as the factory did, but I cannot figure out what tool does that, or if I can even do that at home. Is this something a local collision center could do for me if I threw them a few bucks?

I thought people had been drilling them out (the melted portion), and then re-attaching their new letters using epoxy, or 3M double-sided automotive tape.

Ford is also selling them now too. Color matched they go on over your oem letters with 3m double sided tape. They make a special plastic welding kit, it is quite pricey to buy, if you are trying to achieve an oem like job.

I don't, but if that will work I sure can get one.
Another option might be those little jagged edge washers that are meant to be pressed on, then grab so they don't come loose without destructive force.

That’s a good idea!

If you have a local harbor freight you can find the clips above or a plastic welding kit, which is basically a soldering iron with a flat end.

drilled mine out and it was really easy. Purchased a hot glue gun on amazon and used gorilla glue stick a minimal amount behind letters and fill in the drill holes with glue. Worked perfect. I asked a few body shop places that I know and they said the glue will not melt or anything in the hot sun. So far so good! Took my white ones off and had them painted matte black when I painted the grille shadow black to match the Bronco.
