Anyone figured out how to shut your seat belt chime off when going off-road? Picking my Bronco up tomorrow and low going, 4x4 driving irrates me if seat belt chiming …
Thx

It's in the owners manual.

1) Sit in the seat you want to disable the chime for. (you will have to do it individually for all seatbelts you want to disable)

2) Push the ignition button with the key in the truck and without pressing the brake pedal. (So the ignition is on without the truck running)

3) Wait for the seatbelt light to go out.

4) As soon as the seatbelt light goes out buckle and unbuckle the seatbelt 3 or 4 times until the seatbelt light comes back on.

5) Buckle and unbuckle the seatbelt one last time, the seatbelt light will flash a few times letting you know you did it right.

So just FYI for anyone who is trying to do this. The seatbelt warning goes away after like a minute or a minute and a half, initially. It's not instantaneous.

Tried this 3-4 different times but never did get the flashing seatbelt light or did it shutoff the chime.
Mine is a 2 door, does that matter?
Are there certain features or electronics that need to be shutoff while doing this?
My locks go into locked once speed is 10-12 mph.
other ideas?

You should be wearing your seat belt especially when going off road.

It shouldn't matter whether it's a 2-4 door, can't remember the exact sequence but the information you received sounds right. Nothing else needs to be shut off. FYI, than back-seat passenger check prompt is easy to turn off also in the menu settings.

Off road non-technical ground want ability to get out quickly when bird hunting, Varmits, etc.

Anyway wonder if it got changed with 23MY? Maybe someone else will weigh in ?!?! 👍

It was a similar sequence on my 2004 F150 so I'd guess you are just not doing it correctly.

MMBigfoot, thx for video! I originally wasn’t waiting for light to go off. Did both front seats and everything went like the video.

Just need to go for a short ride in the subdivision and hopefully it’s good!!

Thanks again 😁
