Has anyone installed one of these on your Braptor? I’ve had a system on my F150 Ecobokst and it worked well but always had to dump the reservoir. The IAG system apparently catches then recirculates. My experience is 10 years old with my F150. Are catch cans still needed in today’s latest Ecoboost or not a concern?

Why would you want to dump that combination of old oil, water, and fuel back into the oiling system when you can spend 30 seconds every 6 months and empty that very few ounces of crap from the can?

Good point. Just wondering if a catch can system is still needed or something has changed in the turbo, I/C, intake plumbing that does not require it anymore.

Well, doesn't the inefficient OE air/oil separator do that anyway? Ford doesn't seem to think it's a problem.

Our AOS will at least get more oil out of the charge air, and will keep the water vapor from condensing because of the heated can. The fuel is another story. The oil in your oilpan is full of fuel particles. It's one of the prime reasons you need to change the oil regularly, dilution due to fuel. Also, the ethanol content in the fuel will ALWAYS bring water into the equation post combustion.

If you are going to spend the money to clean up your intake charge air, why not have it be maintenance free as well? I'd rather keep the oil in my crankcase where it should be.

Without smacking a bee's nest full of opinions, internal combustion engines (especially when boosted) will always have oil vapor in the charge air. Our AOS will remove more of the oil from the charge air, giving you a cleaner burn.

I run an iag aos now, had the ford performance catchcan setup, but dumped it for the AOS.
much better design and fit with the AOS, no maintenance.

I run AIG on my 2.7. Gets the job done. BTW, Ford puts this system (AOS) on the GT500. Gets the job done.

If you think there is an issue with your motor you can do regular compression/leakdown tests.

Using a catch can to gauge engine health probably isn’t the best way (albeit a way) to figure out problems

I've got the UPR setup, but that one looks nice.

Systems like these definitely are worth having, especially on the Raptor since it's direct injection only.

Oh nah man, totally not offended. I'm good. I use these systems on my race cars and trucks, they work. That's why I offer them, because they are simply the best and are maintenance free.

If you like spending time manually emptying a catch can that's cool too. Most people prefer a better solution, that's why the IAG AOS is wildly popular in the spaces IAG offers it.

7sec, 8sec, and 9+second cars use this system too. It's not a gimmick
