I have a Sept 2020 reservation and finally decided to order the 2023 Everglades. The dealer converted it to an order, but they can’t get the order to go through (they claim any model or configuration they try either gives a constrained commodity error or skips screens) - the GM and their local rep supposedly worked together on it with no success, and salesman finally told us to call Ford. Ford said they can’t do anything and talk to the dealer. Asked for escalation and someone will supposedly call back in a few days.
One weird thing about our situation was that our original dealership was sold after we reserved, and Ford said we could switch to another dealership but they refunded the $100. We followed our salesman and officially changed the res to that dealership through Ford last month. The rep though it was a cancelled res until we explained, but she could see that it had been converted with the new dealer. (Should have had her send a screenshot in hindsight.)
Any advice or commiseration?
