Worth a shot.

We were planning on local parade, until everything went down in Highland Park. We’re close enough, that info wasn’t available at the time and my thoughts were “what if something is coordinated?”. Yeah, maybe i over thought it, but instead we had a wonderful afternoon at the dog park with our pup. Red white and blue attire was worn.

We came home to grill and play in the yard as a family. Then my wife and oldest enjoyed some neighbors fireworks since many suburbs canceled their shows.

It was a much different 4th of July, but we made the most out of it.

Grilled some burgers and dogs and lit up the night sky with some fireworks.

We took the Bronco and some friends up to Hatton's Ferry, on the James River,near Scottsville, Va. Went out to dinner at Tavern on the James, back home to Waldy's Ice Cream, and then watched the fireworks downtown where we live.

Subscribed to YouTube. Spent 4th of July deployed in the desert, but at least I have a great team with me out here! Missing the states.

Already following on IG, etc.
Not sure if your giveaway is still valid, but worth a shot.
Spent the 4th (and the 1-3) making progress on 3 projects.
Laundry room and pantry re-do, doing bodywork on an 85 K10, and continuing the restoration/custom build on a 54 Chevy Truck.
Carved out time to work on a small Bronco project in my 18 hour work days over the Holiday weekend!
My wife is still recovering from a brain surgery, so she was trying to hang in there and tackle the home project best she could without "bothering me from the shop work" (in her words).
I quickly saw where the attention was needed, as the exhausted look on her face coupled with a complete lack of flat surface in the house not covered in stuff from the gutted pantry and laundry.
4 trips to Lowes and some card-swipin' and we were in business with new cabinets, countertop, cherrywood stain, paint, etc.

Finally completed the renovation yesterday afternoon, got the K10 passenger side in primer.
Overall a win for the weekend, even though neither of us had time or energy to go see fireworks, kayak, or grill out (the original plan).
Luckily they were setting them off last night over the lake that is about 1.5 miles from the house, so we got to see some.
Heartfelt condolences to all affected by the Chicago madness.
Such a sad turn of events up there.
Again, another thing that reminds us what is important in life.

Ugghhh. I had to work (Have to keep saving for the down-payment on the Bronco...) Then the wife and I grilled out (roast beef sliders and tater-tots on the grill - Murica! ) and ate outside as a picnic .
