The goal was to supply a better way of seeing information in a minimalistic way without having to look between the wheel. I also wanted it to be easily removable without leaving anything behind. I wanted it to be dead even with the windshield so that the numbers do not get skewed from one side to the other. I wanted it to be about one to two inches below perfect eye level. The film slightly dims the numbers when you have polarized sun glasses on but with them off , its very visible even in full sun. I tried two heights but I like the higher height better , I may have to move the housing more inward and more rotated down to less obscure my view. I made the mount that attaches to the one inch ball and used the adhesive that the mount housing came with. The HUD fits inside of that with some adhesive as well but the adhesive they give you is absolutely horrible and sticking well. I used the heavy duty 3m plastic locking fasteners. I'm pleased with the outcome so far.

That is almost all the buyable parts , I had to make the tiny platform the HUD sits on and find the bolts in a parts bin at work

The very first picture is equal to my eyes height and distance back. I'm 6 foot 3 inches.

Interesting. Also, how do you like that trail sight mounted rod holder? Does the rod holder work well at highway speeds? Any concerns? Sorry, not trying to chnge the thread subject.

Love it , there is a thread I did about it in exterior mods. It's very very secure at riding rods , they hardly move at all.

I only had to make one part the rest was all store bought. Pretty simple to see what I did. Yeah. I talk about it in pretty great detail. I'll list the gear on it I used that I can remember.
