Installing Ford Performance Tune Help in Connecticut

@rangnarkon Curious what did you do with the module once installed... my dealer is telling me it has to be mounted (granted he is not the mechanic, just guy at desk) and always on... that can't be right can it? I thought I could just put it away and only connect it if needed after the install is done

Remember to have them put the software in your name - they put a note in my record just in case its done when I am not there.

Once installed, is the Performance Tune always enabled or active?

I'm a couple of weeks late here, but the module is ON continuously if you plug it in. There is no Off button. I did the install and then just threw the thing in my glove box. It's dual purpose now is to store my Factory Tune and hold my registration paperwork down.

Installed about 2 weeks ago...love it..I did not leave plugged in once it was installed so can't answer for what module reads but...it definitely wakes it up...the shifting is the biggest difference, it doesn't hold 1st 2nd and 3rd..
Throttle response is better.
Noticeable power increase.

McMahon Ford in Norwalk was unaware/unable to do the tune install...they were also unclear on the warrantee question so I left it there.

It's good to know that Stamford can do it.....please let me know once you have it done and if you bring your own tune box so I may follow suit.

Haven’t done it yet. Decided to hold off given questions re: warranty after installation.

Car only has 3000 miles on it now and I decided to wait until I have more confidence that no ongoing concerns.

Sorry thought I replied earlier - I Did it a week or so ago and very happy with it - ending up doing it with a local ASE certified shop - was charged 1 hour labor
