Interior lighting modifications?

Anyone done anything cool with interior lighting? Bronco is kind of dark with dim OEM map lights.

I wouldn’t call it “cool” but I ordered a Quake LED 39” light strip for the cargo area per a recommendation here.. hasn’t come in yet but can’t imagine not being satisfied with the light output. Going to wire it in such a way that it comes on with the rear cargo door as well as one of the aux switches up front

Haven’t thought of that. Will be doing that.

I have it installed, it works great. If you have the LUX package you can't install the on/off switch where they say to. The subwoofer is in the way.

Good to know. I’m slumming it with the mid package so no sub yet, also have a kicker hideaway on order for that

I bought the Quake LED 39” light strip not knowing the install would be different with the LUX package, which I have. I have the Switch Pros so I ran the wires to it and it works great.

I added something like this in the back just to give a little more light. It's activated by motion and recharges with a USB cord. Use a durable double stick tape to attach it. It makes a difference and doesn't require wiring.

Has anyone tried replacing the very dim dome lights with superior LED ones? The Bronco is concerning my dark with just the default lights.

I agree, the fronts are worst.

I put this light on the lower bar of the soft top hatch. Works great. The first week or so when closing the rear of the soft top I would accidentally bump it and leave it on but once I got used to the placement no issues.
