Hoping someone can help solve an issue with my side windows.
Intermittently when rolling up the windows they bounce back open when contacting the roof. It’s always random as to when and which/how many windows are affected. And clears after a few on/off cycles, only to happen again sometime later. I’ve tried relearning the windows and the issue you will still occur.

Thanks.

Thanks.
On the bottom side of the door there are two bolts that adjust the tension of the windows and also the distance between the outside of door and inside of the door. I had the same issue and I slightly made adjustments and problem has never happened again.
Hope this helps

Thanks. I’ll take a look, are they on the bottom bottom or bottom of the side?

I had that happen when at one point because there was a lot of dirt in the door. After a thorough cleaning I did not have that issue again.

Roll the window down, and hold the window switch down for 3 seconds. Then up, and keep holding the switch 3 seconds, then down, hold, up, hold. The system will recalibrate. I was doing this a lot on my MY22 Black Diamond edition, and mentioned it to the service guy. He told me they applied some software update and I never had to do it again.

Done that multiple times as well as having the software updated twice at the dealership.

Go park it in the Fishkorn neighborhood of Detroit and you won't have windows to worry about anymore.

Happens to me as well, I've done the relearn many times, never adjusted the bolts. Really frustrating, always have to check all 4 windows when leaving it parked in a lot as I've had them bounce back and left it with a window down.

My '13 mustang wasn't so finicky, think I might have done the relearn once or twice :(

I’ve had an intermittent bounce-back issue with the driver’s side window since day one. The relearn procedure would make it work normally for a while, but it was never a definitive solution. I suspected from the start that the glass had been poorly aligned at the factory. It was installed about 3/16" off from the correct position, sitting closer to the door’s forward edge than it should have been.

The issue worsened after the dealer carried out SSM 53981 and replaced the window seals. Not wanting to bring my Bronco back to the dealer, I followed the glass alignment procedure shown in the video below. Since then, I haven’t had the bounce-back issue once — it works perfectly now.

Does this all the time on mine if I am on anththing other than a glass smooth road. The sensors are WAY, WAY too sensitive.
