Ford Bronco Introduction 20250724_211027

Hello - Greetings from Minnesota. Just picked up a new Bronco recently and will be doing some building so I am sure there will be many questions, but wanted to get started and say hi first! So, a 2025 2 door Base with Sasquatch, 2 door, 10spd auto @ trailer tow.

I recently retired and will be using the Bronco as the adventure vehicle. Fell a tad short of my "dream" Bronco; really only two things: had to go with a 10spd auto trans - and - the color (white is okay, our other vehicle is a white F-150, so...). 666 miles on it in about a week and I love it! Mods I want now:

Rock rails - I am a hopper (vehicle entrance/exit) and do not think I want anything that extends out like a step; I dislike mud on the back of my legs/pants, but want some protection, and even moreso, some visual improvement in the pinch seam area. It seems the Ford Rock Rails (SKU: M2DZ78102D30AA $770) might be the best, err only, option? I am just not sure if they are 'beefy' enough. To be clear, I have never even tried a "pivot manuever"; but I might! Intentionally, or ???
Mud Flaps -Purchased and on their way - RokBloks - hope they work as advertised and they work with whatever rock rails I go with. If I need to reconsider - stop me before I unbox!
Hood Protector - Have the Aeroskin II - waiting for the weather to cool down!
Air - Strongly considering on board; there seems to PLENTY of room in the engine bay. Is the ARB 2 brushless the best solution? But, I shall post separately, for all these project, when the time comes, which is now... lol
Winch - Would need something... I see the Ford Performance by WARN Winch Kit (SKU: M1821B $1,050) that I am trying to get straight answers on - ie Will this kit work on what I assume is a "standard" bumper? (ie what came on my vehicle with Sasquatch)
Skid Protection - Whatever the Saquatch Package leaves exposed that needs to be protected.

Other than mods, I am looking forward to making some new friends and meeting folks that like to get out and learning how to have fun in a Bronco!

Welcome and congrats on your BaseSquatch. There is a lot of information on B6G where you can live up to your handle. Pick a sub-forum, search on a specific topic and head down the rabbit hole.

A few quick answers:
OEM rock rails can be found via the Marketplace (Facebook or Bronco6G). They are "adequate". They are not frame mounted sliders. You get what you pay for.

You should add skid plates. You only have the steel skid for the fuel tank. Everything else is exposed.

Your standard bumper will go in the trash. It really isn't suited for any good use beyond the drive-thru. You can opt for OEM modular bumper which the FP winch kit was designed for. You can also find a capable bumper where with some modification, you can make the FP winch kit work. And then there is the aftermarket. Do your research before spending.

Congrats on retirement and the new Bronco! Lots of helpful folks here.

I went w the Broflap mud flaps. They work w both the ford rock rails and the running boards. I flip them out for wheeling.

Have fun w your build.

No one responded to this part yet - @popo_patty has an excellent YouTube video somewhere around here talking about compressor options

Thanks - Been scouring this and every other forum I know of. I appreciate any 'try a search first' sentiment; just learning how to use various features of a new site is, say, challenging for me! On that, I was thinking I should post each project separately ? I see continual build threads...? How is light hijacking viewed here? lots of info and ideas here.

Rock rails - I am looking at rock raisl as a (primarily) visual upgrade to the pinch seam. I don't know enough about sliders yet.

Yes! - skid plates, under armor, etc., I have not even started that area, but I will be...

Bumper/winch - Will do a bit more research before I put the standard bumper in the recycling. If upgrading to another Ford bumper or aftermarket bumper is the ONLY way to have front-positioned winching then so be it; should be a few options for upgrades, or, maybe I can find a workable rear/hitch mounted solution?

Appreciate you -

You should be able to find OEM rock rails and a capable bumper for about $100 a piece on craigslist/marketplace. Ford Accessories has 20% codes all the time, and occasional 25% off codes, and you can use your points you get when you bought your Bronco to get the OEM winch kit. Since it's a 2-door yours came with the gas tank skid (the most expensive skid), so you're not looking at spending to much on the rest.

Thanks MNBigfoot - I have seen your various posts over time and caught the MN connection; hi neighbor!. Good to know there is at least the gas tank skid. The overlapping, same-same-but-different Ford sites/apps/etc confuse me but I shall keep on the look out for those coupons/codes! How have you found/enjoyed the Bronco (er, 'wheelin' in general) community to be here, in MN? Thanks again
