I'm not sure if anyone has shared this or a similar idea before, but after finding that the built in wireless charger does not work with my iPhone 12 mini for more than a few minutes, and wanting to still be able to see my GPS directions list when using Waze on Apple Carplay I came up with this solution.

It charges, keeps the phone out my way while also keeping it visible.

Parts needed:
- Magsafe charger
- popsocket
- popsocket 3M mount

I popped the trim out to run the wire and keep the slack away from my knee.
There is enough space between my hand on the wheel and the phone to keep from knocking it while steering.

Judging by your photos, that's a Badlands with a 12" screen. Does the High Package not come with a wireless charging station?

No I'm pretty sure only the Lux has wireless charging.

However, why not use apple car play? You should be able to have your GPS go straight to the bronco and you can seen turn by turn and still be able to have your other half of the screen for what ever you want.

My only concern would be the 3M tape adhering to the textured finish of the dash. I've been thinking of doing something similar, but mounting off the BYOD rail bolt hole.

I have the lux but the charger does not work for my iPhone. It begins charging and then quits after a minute or so.
Plus, I like having my phone where I can see it and freeing up the charging pad area for sunglasses, etc…

Op clearly says that the wireless doesn't work right for him.

I do use CarPlay, but it only shows the map and your next turn. Your phone shows the list of upcoming directions which I like to use. Plus it’s a way to charge wirelessly and keeps your phone out of the way.
