Does the bronco come with a navigation system standard? What can the standard system do?
The reason I ask is because I found a wildtrack at the dealership, but one of the options is: cnctd blt-in nav(3-yr inc) for 695. I check build and price on ford.com, but I don't see that listed. The wildtrack is a 2023, and build and price has been updated to 2024. Is this option for off road navigation only? Why was this dropped, is now include in the 2024?

Not standard. The one that runs independently on Sync is an option - I believe Mid packages and up. It might be tied to the subscription service for later models - not sure on that but I heard a rumor, but Build Your Ford right now only has it listed as "90 day trial"... so sounds like the WIldTrak you found has a 3-year subscription tied with it for the earlier model.

The Sync navigation is on-road - same Navigation you'd find on the other Ford models.

The off road Bronco Trails App is a phone app, and Carplay/Android work with Google Maps / Apple Maps / Waze / etc -- but all those run on your phone and just display on the screen. They work with all models and all packages.

Built in nav still has the ability for turn by turn after the sub expires, standard nav does not and is basically just a map.

If it came with the LUX package, the built-in nav was included. Otherwise it was a $695 add on.

I know, because I added it specifically so that it would continue to work after the subscription....fyi...love it!

I ordered the High package and my navigation service trial ran out. So I subscribed for another year. I now confused. Why should I have to pay for navigation after the price of the vehicle? I would think it's included
Uconnect is free on our Jeeps.

As long as you continue to pay for it, it will work. But the Connected Built-In Nav that was included in the LUX package or as a $695 option provided 3 years of included service. The one quirk is that if the service isn't continued, the nav isn't "dumbed down". It will still continue to work just without updated maps. Whereas the standard navigation "dumbs down" after service expiration. It just becomes a map that you can't search or get turn-by-turn navigation.

What Beach said..

Only yhe LUX package came with Built In Nav...otherwise you could have added it as a stand alone which is what I did.

The main difference between the default "connected" navigation and "built in", is Built In will continue to provide Navigation (aka turn by turn) after the subscription expires.

I guess I have had Jeeps for so long, navigation, all, music, car info, etc. was always free. Our 2016 Jeep still is.

Yeah...more and more companies in the last couple of years are now charging for things that used to be included in the past via subscriptions services...such as the ability to lock/unlock and start your vehicle from your phone.

How did you add the built in navigation? I did not see that as an option.

I never even messed with mine on high package. I already pay cell service so I just use Apple Maps and that works great.

Like ^^ said, they have changed so many things with the build & price now. Honestly, I Don't know if I'd even order a Bronco anymore because I can't get it like I wanted it..for example, cloth seats and optional Built in Nav :)

The Connected Built In Nav ($695 option on MY'23 and earlier models OR included in LUX) is no longer a stand-alone option for MY'24.
Ok thanks. I wonder if that means it is gone or is there now without adding it. With the screen change for 24 MY maybe they left built in? If it was part of the lux package and that was how it was gotten before with the bigger screen now maybe it could be there?

Well, the Connected Built-In Navigation option wasn't dependent on the screen size. I optioned it on my '22 Black Diamond (MID). And I optioned it on my '23 OBX (HIGH).

For '24, HIGH and LUX are now combined so you will have to read up on the features list of the combined package. I haven't kept up with all the specifics for '24.
