From the pic it doesn’t look like it stared or has cracks…..it totally looks fixable without having to replace entire windshield. From pic it looks like a very clean bullseye chip, should be able to repair with no problem.

Fixable as far as preventing a crack. Invisible no. Just had one done on work vehicle. You can see it against the white hood.

Get some glue in there, what's the worst that happens?

That looks fixable. Just a FYI: I got dinged big time on my insurance for something like "Comp claims over $1000", for the replacement of 2 windshields at $1050 a piece. If I new in advance that was a thing, I would've had a talk with the installer about getting it under $1000. They both had long cracks.

That looks like it can be glued.

I have had a chip about 1/4 of that size on my Bronco for 2.5 years, no problems.

The windshields or the installer? XD
Not sure what you mean. I believe the total bill from the local body shop was around $1050 each time, for the glass and install. I requested Factory glass, each time. And I've have had other claims, so not sure how much this made a difference, but it's listed on my insurance report. I have since dropped my full glass coverage, and will simply self insure, hoping for fixable chips like this one.

Check your ins coverage...mine sends the Safelite crew out and fixes those chips for free as they don't want them progressing to cracks and ending up as a windshield replacement. I live in Colorado though where windshields get serious abuse so coverage may be completely different in other states.

Should be easily fixable but don’t delay. Little ones can turn into big ones overnight.

I just got my first chip also, on Labor Day. It's about the same size as yours. I went to Oreilly Auto and bought a repair kit yesterday, and the results were just okay. The kit did enough to minimize it and I think it did good enough to keep it from spreading.

I used one once and the pressure of it cracked the window beyond repair.
