I have been wondering about this as well. The rumor is that the 35s will only be an option for the Rubicon. Sasquatch only costs $2500 on a Badlands, so how will Jeep's cost compare? Here is my issue... Jeep may respond with 35s, but their price is already higher than the Bronco, 35s will make it even more.
So are they really competing?
When I did the configurations, they were darn close. Less than $100 difference
Then
Add in the fact that you can get a fairly large discount on a jeep and the Jeep will probably be cheaper.
On top of that, you can configure a Rubicon much more a la carte, and get exactly what you want
vs
The Bronco forcing you to Mid, High or Lux
and keep the cost of the jeep down by not paying for stuff you do not want
Two things.. so there is a Jeep dealer in my state known for selling under invoice. So I reached out to him for a Rubicon Diesel just to see.I have been wondering about this as well. I think you can put a level kit and run 35’s on a JL Rubicon. If Jeep were to offer it as an option, their cost would be minimally incremental, but I am sure they’d price it close to $2500.Two things.. so there is a Jeep dealer in my state known for selling under invoice. If I join that tread lightly, he can go 2% under invoice right now. That puts a JLU-D within a few hundred of my WT @ invoice.... And with the jeep, I know I can mount a winch with no issues from the trail cam nor the sensors. I can also get 25+ MPG.
The problem with the 35's is that even a Rubicon requires a 2" lift to fit 35's without rubbing, so now the price starts to climb.
It also means that if jeep is going to offer 35 s from the factory, it's going to have to include some sort of additional lift, which is going to add to the MSRP.
I'm fighting daily not to go with the Wrangler diesel.... Sort of holding out to see what Jeep offers for 2022 or if Ford sends an email that's actually worth a damn.
No lift is required for 35s on a JL Rubi. Sort of. The problem is the stock wheels aren't very wide but you could fit 315/70R17 like Sasquatch.I think you can put a level kit and run 35’s on a JL Rubicon. And that's all I want. If I can put some typical 35s without having to buy new wheels or spend $ on a lift kit I'm good.No lift is required for 35s on a JL Rubi. Sort of. The problem is the stock wheels aren't very wide but you could fit 315/70R17 like Sasquatch.
