Yeah D44's with lockers is a coveted thing to have.
Plenty stout for most things and cheaper than D60's.
I have a D44 rear, D35 front on mine and wish they were both 44's...
But finding them off of a part-out is a bit of a task, and they aren't exactly cheap.
A lot of people are swapping for the 8.8 out of the Exploder but I haven't done a lot of research into those. Yet.
My D44 locker doesn't particularly like taking off in 1st on any incline/bank. I can hear it clunk like worn spider gears and it always makes me cringe.
My buddy broke his rear D44 axle in his 2021 Rubicon Unlimited when it had 2,000 miles on it. It worries me that the Bronco comes with the same configuration, but that guy can dent a hardened steel ball in a rubber room.

Odd that you posted a webcache page. Current link says this:
Ford Bronco Jeep Xtreme Recon C31A8E9A-E2A8-40AA-89D0-1357133466C7

With a date of 25 June (today is 23 June). Wonder if this is real and Jeep asked the site owner to take it down until a certain date or if it’s vaporware.

Only other search results for “Xtreme Recon” are a Jalopnik article quoting the deleted page and another article quoting the Jalopnik post.

All the same I hope it’s real. Will force Ford to continue improving the Bronco

Only for 4 door models. Meh.

People will see the 4.88 optional axle from Jeep and immediately think "4.88>4.7" which is true.

However... let us not forget what Ford has coming down the pipeline...

I would never go lower than 4.88s in a D44 [Or equivalent size diff] It's just asking to break your ring and pinion.
Jeep exists, Bronco is just starting to trickle in.

Shit, I'm just happy that someone came out and said 1.5" lift!

Not like Ford ever told us the lift between trims 🤬🤬 Had to wait for people to figure it out 😞

The non "recon" Jeep 392 gets 17mpg highway with a 3.73 and 33's ... 4.56 and 35's should be what 12-14? Sounds great
I think people concerned with 470 hp and 470 tq, 4.56 gearing and 35" would be happy with 12-14 mpg.

Would be nice if Ford would speed up production of any Bronco at this point.
The wait is going to be the wait, but if the Braptor is released earlier then people can order it earlier ;) and of course continue to wait 😏
