If I could go back, I would disable updates. Infotainment system worked perfectly when I first got my Bronco. Now I occasionally get messages such as "Vehicle Unblocked" and "Bronco Saved" covering the whole screen for a few seconds. Also when I use Siri, my car exits the Carplay screen. Very annoying since I use Siri quite often.

It seems every update adds annoying glitches.

I never update. It's a known fact that the 1.0 release of any software product is the one true perfect version and anything that comes later to patch it for so-called "reasons" (security, schmecurity I say) is just a scam. That's why I'm still running my original, unpatched copy of Windows and . . . . ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US.

Yup. Just need to throw a tinfoil hat into that formula.

3.1? Or 3.11? 5.25 or 3.5 floppies? Be careful when you say original Windows

So honest question here…I’ve had Mazdas and Toyotas for the last….well since my sweet ‘86 Escort GT. My Bronco is the first vehicle I’ve owned that gets OTA updates. If it’s running great with zero issues from day 1….why would I want to or need to apply one of Fords updates?

I have automatic updates disabled. I guess I have the “if it ain’t broke don’t fixed it” thing going on with the Bronco.

Am I being dumb and I should take any update pushed from Ford??
I do the same. My 2018 Raptor has had zero updates and our 23 Bronco also gets none. Both have been trouble free.

Not much more information and it doesn't specify Bronco but the version matches from my update:

Mustang Mach-E, LightningECG-24.2.4.9June 2024June 2024Enhanced Stability

So fords updates aren’t cumulative? Let’s say ford puts out 4 updates, if I skip the first 3 consecutive updates and catch the 4th one, it still has to run the first 3 I skipped because the code in the 3 missed updates are not part of the 4th one? If that’s the case then yeah, your take on best practice makes total sense to me.
Sometimes they are. The multiple BCM updates on the Mavericks are so there is a possibility

I noticed it when I my wife was out shopping and wanted to see where she was. In the old version it would show it still at home and ou had to vertical swipe a few times for it to refresh. This version doesn't seem to allow the vertical swipe but did have it accurately located. So that may be one improvement.

I would leave OTA updates on, but don't rush to update your vehicle, in case there are bugs.

My Volvo is all OTA for everything, and requires OTA to be left on.

But the most recent Volvo update was pulled due to bugs.

Apparently we’re suppose to get different features something along the lines of 360 active cameras, our ability to use the exterior lights again from phones, a different version of security alert.

Dang no notification on your phone? Same I wish we got an alert letting us know there will be incoming updates ahead of time. Just so we’ll know what to look out for should something happen . I only knew about this one because I opened the app to make sure my car my was locked
I have updates scheduled for a certain day and time. Got a big ole onscreen notification a day ahead of time.

With all the updates and UI changes to the ford pass app, does anyone have a clue to what this new updates all about? Description not very descriptive 🤔😅
