This is great was hoping there might be a solution for a bush bar and lights on my capable bumper.
Does anyone know if my camera would be blocked if I just run 2 ROUND KC lights on this bar.
I think there are several of us waiting on this. We need someone to give it a try! With the mounting points being 16" apart, and the overlap toward the middle for each light around 2.5" or so, there should be a 11" gap between them. The camera is so wide angled that I am sure you will see them, but they won't block anything really. You should be able to see around all of it including the bar.

I don't mind if camera is a bit blocked...I just placed my order for the bar.
Now to get my KC lights ordered.
Are most people running the 151 Apollo Pro 6" lights......thinking spread or spot ?

My bar is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. I plan on mounting it this weekend. I do have a front camera so Iā€™ll let you know how much of the view is blocked with just the bar, and how much room you have for lights.

I have the Apollo Pros that you linked. Running spreads on the outside lights and a single spot in the middle. You can go back to the original post to see the KC mount I added for the center light.

I received the bar today and Iā€™m test fitting it to the bumper. I took some shots for those of you who have a front camera so you can see what it blocks As you can see it blocks quite a bit - but the all around view for parking is fine. The front tire view is also fine. The bumper has a fair amount of curvature where the hoop will mount, and the bar ā€˜feetā€™ are perfectly flat. Gonna have to find someway to shim without introducing any wiggle to the bar.

Awesome, thank you! Guess you canā€™t bend the mounting feet to the curvature of the bumper.

When you tighten it down it will bend down to curve to the shape of the bumper. I did mine today.

Idk how bad it'll be blocked but it will be. My lights on my capable bar are 2" tall and 5" wide and are very visible but not unbearable by any means. I expected some blockage so i stuck with a matching set from up top

Seems like the bumper would bend to the hoop mount plate - bumper seems like thinner steel than the hoop plate. Think I may cut the front of the mount plate on the hoop so I can move the hoop forward further to give more clearance to the body panel.

Did you use the provided ā€˜Lā€™ shaped bolt mount or just thru bolt with your own hardware?

Were you able to use the brackets that came with the bar or did you use separate nuts under the bumper? What do you think of idea of welding up the two forward holes on the bracket and re-drilling them just a bit further back. Then I'd do a little work with my bench grinder to make the front of the bracket more svelte.

Let me know if you wind up moving that hole backwards and cleaning up the front. Thatā€™s exactly what my plan is gonna be. Give a little more room to push it forward, and not have that little piece overhanging the bumper

The bars plate definitely bent down. The bumper isn't that thin and felt solid. I used nuts with big washers on the backside. The L brackets could work if you did some grinding for clearance for the front bolt.

Do you feel the guard provides a lot of protection or would a deer or animal just tear it off the top of the bumper and do a lot of damage. How sturdy is it when mounted? Any wiggle? Just wanting an opinion if it is worth it for protection or just not install it because it would not matter much. Thank you!
