For sure would fit with seats down.

I currently have an Ruffland intermediate in the back of mine and it’s got plenty of room to spare. It does have to go sideways though and I don’t have a side door so that’s kinda inconvenient. 🤷🏼‍♂️

From what I've found, the cargo area is between 39 and 41 inches wide, so it either will barely fit or will not fit 😅

Depends on where you're measuring from I guess. With the slight angle on the rear seats, that could make the difference near the top of the kennel.

Do you have the kennel already? Could always swing by a local Ford dealership that has a 4 door for sale and just ask to see if your kennel will fit in the back as I'm assuming you're waiting for your order to arrive.

I do not have the kennel, I want to make sure it'll fit before I buy it (they are $400+)

I have the Ruff Land large with side door, fits perfectly and side door allows my Lab to jump right in. I strap down the kennel to protect my dog in the event of an accident.

Would you think any larger would fit?

I don’t have an extra large so no idea if it would fit. I am out of town otherwise I could measure. There isn’t more than 3-4 inches on either side of the large kennel so if the extra large is longer than 6-8” I doubt it would fit crosswise. Most likely have to fold down backseat.

I tried to fit 2 intermediates side by side and couldn’t shut the door, going to try either the mediums or backseat riders

I went through this when my 2 door was on order vs. what kennel to buy. For peace of mind....I would go to a dealership and actually measure the area in a 4 door where you want the crate to sit. Then I would say it would be safe to order the crate. My guess, you will need the side door option which I have done in other vehicles too. Good crate for a happy dog!

I have 2 Ruffland Intermediates, 1 with single door and one with a front/side door now and with the slide out tray I know I will have to have the rear seat down.. When my Bronco gets her (Feb-Mar) I will check it to see if the Backseat Riders will fit. If they do I sell the ones I have and purchase 2 of the the others. 34# Brit's will fit just fine in the Backseat Riders.

That's what I ended up doing. It's a snug fit but it works!
