I'm familiar with the issue with you're talking about. Did my research on the ecoboost while deciding on the Bronco. My understanding, it was isolated specifically to that 3.5L and Ford corrected the issue in later model years. Sucks you got stuck with it, but it seems every time someone wants to prove the ecoboost has reliability issues they point to the early 3.5L which is a small population of the overall # of ecoboosts out there.
They have constantly tried to stay on top of the issue. I know when I got my turbos replaced with the newer/revised turbos the dealer said that mine will be the last one they do for a little bit because they were working on another revision to the latest part at the time.

Problem with stuff like 5 year or high mileage reliability #'s is you're trying to compare the reliability of stuff made 5 years ago to the stuff made today. They're constantly making tweaks in both design and manufacture so its not a pure apples to apples comparison.

So much for planning!!
I guess it's going to be either the front facing camera or the winch. or is there another option?

:cautious:
Sounds like you missed all the drama around this!

:)

This is it for now. Ford said they were working on addressing it but we haven't seen anything as-of-yet... and that was a while ago.

Wish we could have this 360 camera view instead ....

would you need a spotter if you had this camera?
I bet that type of view wouldn’t work for off roading or crawling.

The computer would have to make a lot of assumptions about what’s on the other side of something it can’t see around (rocks, etc).

Those systems excel in urban environments and sometimes require additional knowledge (like mapping and remembering the area when you first pulled in, for example)

well the Defender is the OG in offroading so you have to assume that they made the camera angles for that purpose and NOT the urban environment alone ..... even though it works well and most of them are mall crawlers anyway

the camera view showing what's under the vehicle and between the front tires has nothing to do with the urban environment

Of course. I was referring to the "drone" camera feature specifically.

Well let's see, whether you "need" a larger wheel or not, I'm saying it doesn't look right.

And your second point, yeah I'd take a V8 over the little bitch ass 4 & 6 cyl. turbo engines any day. I see lots of people taking naturally aspirated engines past 200k, 300k, 400k miles, yet I don't see the same with turbo engines? I do see complaints of turbo issues though here and there. So yes, give me a V8, you can have the little engines all you want.

That's my dated mindset for the day, hope you enjoyed.
My Focus ST has 260,000kms, is that high enough for consideration? lol

Yes finally 1 to compare. Thanks.

Still doesn't change my opinion. But to each their own.

Now can your Focus out pull a v8?

Makes me a bit nervous the driver was not wearing a mask! WTH!!! Really? But the best part was the trail camera staying on at that speed!
