So, I had a 21 Bronco sport before and the lane keeping seemed to be much more aggressive than the 22 Wildtrak I just got.
I could easily drive down the highway and the Sport would basically drive itself through curves. After a while, the thing would ask I put my hands on the wheel, but you could just rest your hand on the wheel and it would be fine.
I try to do the same on the Bronco and I don't feel anywhere near comfortable that it will steer me in the right direction.

Same thing for in town driving. It would tug pretty good if I got a little on the line.

Sport is an entirely different animal than the big Bronco.

They may have the same branding, but they are very, very different vehicles.

And I believe there are three settings for how aggressive you want it. Sadly, many of us have just turned it off due to the darned nanny constantly bugging you on straight roads....she needs constant attention!

Mine definitely will not take me around a curve. I turned it off first week of ownership. I really don’t get the point of it.

It’s not supposed to. Lane keeping is just supposed to warn you when you’re accidentally exiting your lane and make a small correction to push you back towards the center.

Lane centering, which the sport has, will actually keep you centered in the lane through a curve.

lane keeping? It does an absolutely superb job of making you think you went over rumble pavement when you leave your lane without signaling.

Works great. Nothing wrong with that. And Ford implemented it properly: it operates only over 40mph or so, and it's extremely easy to turn on and off.

So it’s useful to distracted drivers.

Off.... I'll drive thank you!

I do REALLY like the adaptive cruise control, however.

We occasionally rent late model cars/trucks. One of the better LK/LA implementations we experienced was on a nearly new '24 VW Jetta we rented last year. Took it on a cross-country trip. On the freeway it basically drove itself--stayed perfectly centered around every curve. As expected it does keep reminding you to keep your hands on the wheel. We weren't at all prepared for what it does if you ignore the warning too many times . . . . . it nails the brakes, *hard*, one-time. Initially we'd thought we'd hit something. Definitely got our attention.

As for the LK implementation on our Bronco, as long as the road markings contrast well with the road it works. Otherwise, it's hit or miss. Our Toyota has no problems working on the very same roads where the Bronco fails to work. I always use the Toyota's LK on long freeway trips, but rarely turn-on the Bronco's---just don't trust it :(

Mine will kind of "aid" when steering around corners, but otherwise does absolutely nothing unless your already 5ft in the other lane. It's an odd system.

I only use it on long trips, I don't like the way it "helps" you through turns and stuff day-to-day. It has been useful as a safety tool when I'm on road trips in unfamiliar areas though.
