@Tech Tim is at it again with another video, this time showing you how to install the new Black Ops series winch bumper from LoD Off-road.




The Black Ops series bumper from LoD is available in both a shorty and a full-width version and can be ran as a plain bumper or you can add two different bumper tops to customize the bumper to you.

For the winch, we went with a Warn VR EVO 10-S winch with the synthetic line. The VR EVO series winch is Warn's value line created to offer you a competitively priced, quality winch.

When I saw the videos featured image I thought that was an RC Car

I just finished up the install of this bumper with a Warn Evo 12. install was very straightforward. My challenge was relocating the ACC, and the decision to remote mount the winch control unit.

I will say that the quality control on some of the Ford bolts is a little suspect... I had one tow hook bolt gall on removal, and one of the lower control arm cam bolts also galled during removal. (for installation of new front springs due to the weight increase from the bumper and winch)

I also installed the front bash plate and the front diff plate.

One comment to LOD Offroad, please consider running a tap through the captured nuts prior to shipping, the extra coating on the nut threads made it difficult to get the bolts started and tightened.

Overall I am really happy with LOD Offroad products.

Old Man Emu, medium weight for heavy load, they are specifically for the four door. But they fit fine, and leveled out the front to rear stagger. I just did the front, since I do not intend to carry a lot of weight in the rear. No weekend overlanding for me, just day trips.
