MA State Inspection Required on Bronc Bought in NH?

Hi, all. We signed the paperwork at Best Ford in Nashua yesterday. They honored MSRP, and went real soft pitching extended warranties, nitrogen, etc... I highly recommend Stephanie Gillis up there. Unfortunately, as a lifelong New Yorker, I learned MA doesn't honor out of state temp tags (them and Hawaii are the only two states who don't), so now the dealer's runner needs to get us plates, which, Best claims, will take 1-3 business days.

Here's my question: will I still need to get an MA state inspection sticker?

You can go anywhere and get it done for $35. Most MA dealers will do it prior to delivery, my Ford dealer is not a state inspection station so they didn’t. I didn’t do my Bronco until a month after I got it, the state had flagged it as non compliant and sent me a letter. I wasn’t driving it in the salt so I didn’t worry about it.

Hey! How did delivery go for you? They got four Broncos in the shipment mine came on. Claim they’ve been getting them in greater numbers, and more regularly.

I spoke to a GM about the Lightning. They’ve taken 200 reservations and were just told by Ford corporate they would be allocated 2 for 2022.

I haven’t got mine yet. Just built last week. GM said it is due in last week of the month.

Awesome! They changed owners in February, but honored their commitment to MSRP.

However, my wife, Golden Retriever, and I were there for four hours yesterday to finalize the paperwork. They have only two finance people and a third in training.

how did taxes work for you? did you pay NH sales tax or MA? (or hopefully not both?) I'm getting mine this week in PA and will be registering in MA and not sure how the taxes will work yet.

NH has no state sales or income tax. We paid the 6.25% MA tax on cars purchased out of state, rolling the ~$3,100 into the financing package. NH gets a lot of MA car buyers, and our dealer knew the procedure. Not sure if PA will be as well-versed.
