I'm trying to install the mabett mud flaps and running into issues with the screw-clips in the wheel wells. My Mustang has the push-clip style that worst case I can force out with an awl, but these don't seem to move at all. The screw just spins in place.

Any ideas?

Can I easily buy more of these if I break them off? (link / part number?)

I had the same issue. Removing them was the longest, most stressful part. Online people take them out so easy. I got a little rough with them to come out. I have the IAG flaps and they came with replacements. However, I quickly screwed one of those up too.

I ended up running to Advances Auto Parts and they have a large selection of clips. They had ones like in the Bronco. I bought them and longer push in ones. $5 fix.

I bought a pack on Amazon.
No one's going to notice pins are OEM or not so don't stress.

Check Amazon and you'll find boxes containing all sorts of pin sizes.
Handy if you have multiple cars or break multiple pins.

The Bronco ones are frustrating - deliberately broke them out of anger and replaced with the Amazon ones... Much easier lol

I posted too soon.

I figured out a trick. Two plastic prybars (interior trim kit) and an awl.

I pried them open slightly until the portion with the window where you could see the screw threading appeared.

I then used an awl to give the screw a push and it just came out a little bit. Then I used the two plastic prybars to remove the clip.

Mabett really should've used an alternative mounting mechanism for the interior mounting point. The clips/push pins really don't seem like they are designed to hold a mud flap. They could've at least provided extra clips.

It's a very poor design choice. Think it's my own fault believing they'd be a viable choice over Rokblokz, Rekgen, or Gatorbacks for less money.
