Anyone consider using a Jack nut? It will collapse when you tighten it down by using the Jack nut tool and then the nut will stay in place if you screw the bolt out. If there’s a hole and it’s in metal this would be a much more secure mounting option than plastic push pins/clips.

You can get all different sizes of Jack nuts so might be a viable option !!

I pulled back the felt from that third hole screw area and it’s all plastic I believe.

Jack nut might still work in plastic IF you can support the plastic while collapsing the nut. They make aluminum ones; just an idea to share with people trying to find a good solution.

good luck to all !

They will fit with rock rails. I have a pair on my 22 OBX…THEY are good. Put a set on my 23 BD and the right rear broke and cracked apart after two weeks on the truck. I have been trying to get a replacement for over 4 weeks . Mabett will not contact me.
