Hey all!

This isn’t for my Bronco but for a fellow Bronco owner.

Their Bronco did not come with the hard top prep package (not sure if that would make a difference), but they had their soft top swapped out with an MIC top.

What all needs to be done to make that back wiper functional?

Probably more than they are willing to spend. All kidding aside, it will take wiring, turn signal stalk, maybe new steering column control module maybe some BCM programming. I looked into it and ran into too many unknowns then decided it wasn't worth it. Not saying it's impossible but it would take a bunch of time, $$ and some knowledge of programming. Defrost grid isn't going to work either without wiring, climate control head and more programming.

Yikes! So it’s safe to say that a dealership can get it done for you, but the cost would be steep.

I’ve had my bronco over a year. Never turned on the back wiper and never had a need to

Yikes. Sounds like the kind of thing where once you count up the real cost of having it done you could probably buy and install some REALLY choice running gear instead. I'm not discounting the value of either the wiper or (especially) defrost but I just couldn't see myself plowing thousands into it (assuming even being able to find a qualified installer).

Same here. To me it wouldn't be worth the hassle.

Thanks for all the replies! I let them know that the cost would be too much.

I know that I use mine often, but I certainly wouldn’t spend a lot of money to have it either. Lol
