Weather related concern in Hermosillo, Mexico? Too much sunshine? Those Sport buyers can't catch a break. First it was the constrained sunroof and now weather is delaying their build.

Our plant was asked to shutdown by Ameren. They cancelled two shifts! They are starting back up tonight at 11pm. Weather was crazy on the grid! Many power outages!

Just curious, I'm an Industrial electrician , steel mills and powerhouses are the bulk of my work.

We are a huge tire factory. We have few powerhouses and our own water tanks!

Now that's interesting.
The larger mills and refineries have their own gen stations too. Mostly for steam or insane amounts of air and some of their own power.
Now I wanna look that place up. Lol.

Look up Continental Tire Mount Vernon IL. We have tons of air and steam for tire machine and curing machine. Then we clean curing presses with steam and dry ice! Crazy process!!

I have a good friend in Hermosillo and did a lot of the equipment install for the Bronco Sport. When I reached out to him, he told me the weather there is fine, but it's the supply chain north of them causing the problems.

Having said that, the line from the union stooge in Canada is laughable. Weather wasn't that bad up here (at least for what we are use to every Winter). I can imagine the roads weren't great, but only because the people in Toronto can't drive on clear, sunny days

Even the basic concept of global supply chain driven just-in-time manufacturing is lost on the whole of the American people these days.

It's not as if what little manufacturing stayed did so in a vacuum and all the parts are just sitting in the lot after Jimmy built them in his shed out back last week.

Continentals have been some of the best damn tires I've ever had. Have them on three of our current vehicles. Good work.
