If you want a slider that functions as a step, get RSE. They are beefy and the drop step is nice. Anything thing else won't be much of a step. They are just to high. They will work very good to get your pants dirty every time get in. The RSE on the other hand work flawlessly

Another vote for RSE. I do not really rock crawl, I mean we do not have that feature in S. FL In some parks where they have simulated shelves and such, my RSE has not even sneezed.

Also a others have said, they help my wife get in and out of my lifted Bronco as well as myself. Though I am 6-4+ the knees.....oh man the knees have taken a toll over my years. So having that step is very helpful.

Here's a vote for @Metal-tech 4x4 . I had these installed a few weeks ago. They were used that weekend and as advertised, provided the protection I was looking for. They are very customer oriented. I was on a trail ride with them in Central Oregon last fall and noticed their sliders on their bronco. I had replaced my factory pinch weld sliders with some budget body mount bolts sliders and they weren't up to the task of protection that I was looking for. They were adjustable allowing for either boat side or full horizontal step type. They looked great but the first weighted hit pushed one into "full boat side" mode (door opened but scraped). Three of us simply stood and bounced forcing back into "position". This then led to a conversation with Mark and his crew at the after party. The rest is history. Thank you again @Metal-tech 4x4 !

Note: these photos were taken today prepping to replace my RCI aluminum transmission skid plate (with steel one). There was no wrenching on the sliders by me.
