Mice in engine compartment

If you don't have other animals around you wish to keep, an open bowl.of antifreeze will often collect rodents. So sometimes will your used oil in it's catch pan.

Had mice eat through wiring on our 335xi several years ago. Insurance covered wires, ecm, all 6 coils and injectors.

I park the Bronco in the garage and so far I've caught 10 mice since mid Nov with the good old snap traps. I was worried they might get to the wiring in the truck so I'll keep trapping them. Gouda and peanut butter has been working well so far.

I'll have to try the gouda. I've been having great success with a (small) part of a Tootsie Roll, FWIW.

Mine stays in the garage and I happened to see a mouse running by the wall last week so I put out a sticky trap Friday night. On Saturday I had 2 corpses then when I put a fresh trap out Saturday I could tell it was disturbed but no bodies only turds. The fight continues.
