Storage compartment in the trunk / bed question

I’m trying to find a location for an amp but want it out of sight for when the top is off. Has anyone removed the plastic housing storage compartment in the trunck/bed to see how much additional room there is in there? My installer said there is not enough room under the front seats, and the back seats won’t work when folded down.
Any other suggestions?

Just saw that 'box' removed in a YT video by @1Five1 Garage. There's NOTHING under that, just the frame cross member, muffler and roadway - it literally leaves a giant hole in the floor. Not a good location for electronics. That tool box has a heat shield on it in fact to protect against the heat of the muffler. Keep looking...

I was wondering about the same thing. @1Five1 Garage 's video shows all panels removed in the back cargo area. under the floor is not to good for a amp. may overheat due to the muffler placement. Maybe under the side panels, depending on the amp size.

Sid note they said they will be taking the rest of the car interior out as well. Maybe some room elsewhere?

Put ours behind the drop panel under the steering wheel for the radio. When I do the sun, the amp for it will be on the box.

Mine is just tucked in where the factory sub and amp were. Was able to fit both amps, as well as the Zen unit in there.
