I am going to give an example with my numbers.

When you ordered your 23My the Price level was PL315 your current invoice has a PL345. That is the MSRP, $59,987 (PL315) and $66,650(pl345) The "invoice" amount is factored off of those numbers. The simple way of what a dealership pays FORD is Invoice -HB (hold back) So, in short yes, the Dealership will get reimbursed the difference between what they pay now and what they would have paid then.

pictured below is an invoice, you can see MSRP in the left hand column and "invoice" in the right hand column.

attached is the memo from FORD saying the price protection is automatic. This was for the Feb price increase, there is the same thing for the March price increase.

Is there anywhere in writing that I can reference? Dealers comments were quite different.
OP, so sorry this is happening to you; however it seems quite typical based on comments here.

What did the dealer promise you? Was it MSRP. When they provided you the MSRP DORA did they tell you that was the price you'd pay?

You can print out the documents and price protection tables on here; but that may/may not work. you're essentially telling the dealer how his internal business works. They already know all that. Bringing a bunch of stuff from an internet forum probably isn't going to change your situation.

The people on the "floor" are just moving metal -- depending on the dealership this could be quite frantic; they're not there to referee these claims.

First off you need to elevate the conversation to a minimum of the Sales Manager or General Manager. Be calm, tell them you're willing to pay the number on the MSRP DORA MINUS your MY Transition Private offer. If they tell you you price has gone up and there is no price protection provided by Ford, then likely you explaining the documents provided here won't help -- but doesn't mean you shouldn't try.

OBTW. my dealer was Chapman and they honored everything. The GM and SM were well aware of mid-year price protection and they gave it to me upfront.

Good luck.

Just wanted to say thank you to you all. Dealer came around and is honoring everything. Great info and if I could buy your next round I would.
