My DIY Bronco Cupholder Solution

Since I ordered a 4-door OJWhite Badlands, I learned from this forum that my rig would have no rear area cupholders. However, once I discovered the front seats have a Molle panel on the back, I have engineered my own cupholder solution!

I found a Molle cupholder online that fits the Bronco Molle panel, and I measured the functional cupholder in my Toyota (3.25 in diameter, 3.25 in depth) and purchased aPVC segment from Home Depot to sit in the Molle piece (to support drive thru cups besides water bottles).

I’ll probably spray paint the PVC in either Antimatter Blue or Cyber Orange to match the Badlands stitching. The Molle pieces cost about $15 each, and the PVC was $1.65 each. As I won’t be able to test this until after I get my Bronc, please stay tuned for my field test results...

I made 2 of my cup holders out of toilet flanges. Snug and grippy. Our water bottle holders/fridge mount is just $25 worth of Home Depot metal.

Very cool & great idea!

You may need an additional support at the top of the cup or have the bottom open to allow for the cup it be mostly cradled. Since this is installed on a seat back it won’t have any lateral support so the opportunity for the cup to eject out of the top during acceleration or turning is real. I suggest that you account for these forces to ensure a viable solution. Good luck!

Why do you need more than 4 cup holders? There is the two in the front in the center. The 4 door has two in the middle drop down for the back. And the 2 door has one on each side of the exterior panels in the back.

I don’t need any more cup holders, but the 4dr only has the middle drop down if you get leather.
