I know this will piss a lot of people off, I was once a Ford guy myself, but after this incident no more. I'm sure most of you have had good service from yours and that's good a nd I hope it continues. I posted a year ago and said I'd follow up after all was done. It's been done for some time and here's how it went. I would have put this under warranty claims, but Ford didn't cover anything willingly.

I "had to" sever my 30 year relationship with American Honda due to corporate asshattery. Frankly, they're all asshats.

But it's just business. Don't take it personally. But since there are many choices in the world, we can afford to move on.

Anyway, it is just business--don't hesitate to buy another Ford if it floats your boat.

That was a good looking rig, though. Damn shame.

Very true, none are perfect and yes I loved that thing, but I can't have it randomly working and not working, so had to cut the cord. Maybe if Ford gets better management, who knows.🤷‍♂️

So you are the same guy who had the thread where you rolled backwards ? LOL and now you are mad at Ford ? You totally f-ed up and you still won’t admit your responsibility.

I can’t believe you are blaming Ford for your own mistakes.

I'm confused. It was a manual transmission, correct? You were obviously in gear going up the hill. How did it roll backwards when you lost power and brakes? It seems to me being in gear and off the clutch pedal would have stopped it from rolling backwards. What am I missing?

I guess I incorrectly thought successful Lemon Law claims meant a full vehicle buy back/refund. I also thought (although certainly it depends on state) Lemon Laws usually pertained to a fix attempted on the same fault some number of times (three?).

So this Bronco hasn't been branded a Lemon, Ford just decided to pay you $6k so they could move on.

You have it correct. Lemon law is a pro rated refund or a replacement vehicle. I experienced this in 1990 when the wife bought an Olds Cutlass that filled with water every time it rained. You don’t get sales tax refunded either. It takes effort on the vehicle owners part but I can attest it was worth the effort.

I mean, the facts are there, there was a malfunction (that didn't just happen, but was also documented by the Ford Pass app), the vehicle became inoperable, Ford refused to check the one computer system that had something to do with it (PCM) and checked another (RCM) that they knew wouldn't show anything and then randomly paid off $6000 for a made up story. Either you didn't watch or understand the video and facts presented or you don't have the intellectual firepower to keep up. Either way, there are some people that just won't believe Ford could do any wrong I guess.🤷‍♂️

I have no problem believing Ford can screw up. They have in the past and likely will again in the future.

I do have a problem believing that had you removed your foot from the clutch the transmission wouldn't have stopped the vehicle from rolling.

I do understand that it happened quickly, and I might have reacted in the same way you did, but it still looks like driver error. That's just my opinion, and I'm no one's idea of an expert on anything related, so it's probably worthless or nearly so.

I'm not so sure. I've watched mine roll a couple inches just parked on slightly uneven ground, forcing me into the habit of using the parking brake every time now. With a little momentum on a hill I can easily see it overcoming engine compression and rolling away.

When it first stalled out, I put my foot on the brake, it didn't brake, so I depressed the clutch, it is supposed to automatically restart. It did not, so I took both feet off the pedals and mashed both again, still nothing, no brakes and no restart, even when I pressed the button to restart, even though it's supposed to restart automatically without pressing the button. I get it, people weren't in my shoes, I might be skeptical too. I have stalled it out myself on multiple obstacles before at different parks. Nothing was new under the sun there, been there done that. However, each time I rolled back before, I hit the brakes, it stopped and I depress the clutch and it autostarts. This time was different, the electronics checked out. I mean there was a code that clearly stated there was an issue. That's all I can provide. My question to you, same as Ford, why did they not check out the PCM, why the RCM knowing there was no airbag deployment and why not the PCM when there was a powertrain related malfunction?

You do have to mash the clutch to get the engine to restart. It is possible had I just left the clutch out, it would have stopped I suppose, but it would never restart that way. And to be fair I didn't try the parking brake, it just seemed I had a better chance doing what I was doing.
