I have a Badlands with Lux package.. My navigation map orientation shows the ability for 3D but it defaults to 2D. Any ideas?

I use 3D when I’m in an unfamiliar place. It can show building heights and helps me better figure out where I am on the map and where I’m going.

I’ve tried using it but it defaults to 2D. Any clue how to get it to stay on 3D?

You go into Settings | SYNC Nav | Map Orientation and change it to 3D Heading up.

Hello Eurydice:
I followed your directions in Map Orientation and also went to “more settings” and checked boxes in 3D Map. Still only in 2D. I also have the Lux package, Badlands/Sasquatch. Any other helpful hints? Thanks!

I’m not too impressed with standard Nav. Im Using Waze or google maps

Hmm. I have Lux Badlands as well. Did you put two fingers on the screen and kind of pull down?
FYI. I have my Nav set to 3D and it appears that it will only show 3D when near buildings tall enough to register (whatever that means)... Most of the time it shows 2D. Same settings - 3D heading up.
