When I was stationed there the only dealership that didn't charge ADM was VW and that was way before all the post COVID fallout from the past few years. Ford and Dodge were both by and far the worst back then, I guess good to see things haven't changed. Most of the military in the know would just buy on the mainland and ship to the island instead of playing their games.

I live in Hawaii. Albeit on an outer island.
My used 2021 B.D. w/ Sas in AMB and 7350 miles on the clock is being shipped in as I type this.
Cost from San Diego to my island of Kauai was $2150.
I would think the cost is similar going back to the mainland.
I was shocked to see this post about that Oahu Dealership because as of the 1st of the year they only had one 4 door on the lot. I was hunting.
I had never even seen a 2 door on Kauai until this week. Some 4 doors.
So for shits and giggles I called Honolulu Ford about that Eruption Green 2 Door Wildtrack on the lot. Spoke with my assigned salesperson, nice guy, always selling.
MSRP is $58,295 with a $12,000 ADM!!! Wholly Crap. Since its the only 2 door on the lot I'm thinking its GONNA sell for sure. My Bronco should arrive here by end of March.

Dropped it at the port in long beach on 2/27
Arrived here 3/8 , ready for pickup 3/9.

That’s what I did. I didn’t want to be cornered into purchasing from the limited dealers and stock on island. I figured there would be better options on the mainland then out here. I was surprised ,almost floored by how many they have sitting around knowing that so many ppl haven’t even received their orders

Yeah I went with Pasha.
Arrived on Oahu on Monday (3/6/23). But still waiting to come to Kauai on Young Bros.
Takes time, only 1 day across the channel, but days of waiting just to get on the barge.

The sad part is the destination and delivery covers all 50 states. So we are already subsidizing shipments to Hawaii and Alaska. They are just preying on it for pure profit with no additional expense.

Tried buying a couple of the lots out here on Oahu. Even told them I’d pay the difference in what it’s cost me to ship from the mainland. Last and best I got was absolute minimum was 8k over MSRP. I walked and bought on the mainland. Told the guy that the days of his giant markups are coming to an end as more Broncos are showing up, and he’ll be sitting in them. It’s like a game of chicken right now here with the three Ford dealers.
