I had one replaced under warranty in the first year. Both rear shocks bunched up again and I’ve just ignored it since. The boots aren’t really necessary and I’m not going to try to get them replaced every time this happens. I’m guessing Ford and/or Fox came to the conclusion that they’d go broke replacing these endlessly.

But at some point free replacement shocks under my extended warranty would be nice……

I don’t think it’s big issue , but some members got new shocks under the warranty . It’s weird some dealers change when some not !! .

It’s on a jack stand at max compression, and it’s a dual zone coil. So the top is pretty tight but there’s still compression room on the bottom half so it’s not totally bound.

Six coils bound just by lifting a wheel in the shop? Seems odd.

Typical crappy aftermarket so stupid that boot is too large for spring ID its definitely warranty contact FOX directly.

The damper shaft now exposed to dirt and moisture not good of costly shocks thatbobly last 30-50K mulrs in first place.

It's a Raptor, Fox's are stock.

I'm on the fence about boots. Yeah, they keep most of the stuff out, but once it gets in there, it stays in there.

It's clearly a defect even on a $20K vehicle, you could send a pic to Fox and ask if it's normal if say no take it to dealer, or just see another dealer.
