I’ve heard stories about people losing the painted caps. I have mine off and on regularly as I don’t always run my roof rack. So after pulling the roof rack today, I made a “Safety Line” this way I can at least not lose the caps.
I drilled a small hole in the base and ra
I drilled a small hole in the cap next to the clip hole
Now they will stay together when off and shouldn’t fly away if it pops off going down the road.
Wire is a green coated stainless wire, have to make it match lol.
