It's all in the company you keep. I was ducked last weekend after being the only Bronco on the trail . It's sitting in my shop and not in the Bronco though, LOL.

Who's cellular connection - Fords? On Ford's dime? I never connected wifi, or sync, or the app or any of that stuff. I've never gotten any message on my Bronco of an update. Maybe I can check somewhere on the Bronco dash screen, and find some version number of the software?
Correct, we’re not paying for it. But that’s how FordPass on your phone is able to connect to your vehicle if you set it up. As for the version, it’s in Settings -> General -> About SYNC I believe. Most recent version is 24XXX. You can also see if you’ve ever gotten updates by going to Settings -> Software Updates -> Update Details

Yea apparently Ford decided the original rolling rocks screen was too nice for the Bronco and had to fuck it up.

The last Ford software update in September took away the .25" rolldown of the windows when you unlocked the vehicle with the key fob. I really don't understand what Ford is trying to accomplish with this last update. When I see software updates from other company's, they are improving their product not diminishing the original product that was purchased.

Just checked and mines the same way. I guess we’re all in the same boat. Just have to ask the question, if something is working, why mess with it?

Ah, Excuse Me.... is that a duck on your dash? 🤔
Guilty.... Lol. Got it on my old Badlands from a 2 door Jeep. Left it anonymously 🤷🏻

Thanks for the info. The "update details" screen on my Bronco is not accessible because the connected vehicle option is off.

The other "about sync" screen shows as below, which doesn't seem to jive with the version number formats mentioned around here.

Or maybe it's the 22291 number, which would be older than the 24xxx you mentioned.

Oh wow you’re way out of date on software. Not missing a ton, I think the main thing is just full screen CarPlay/Android Auto. But obviously won’t hurt anything to be out of date

What are the rolling rocks replaced with?

You can use FORScan to completely disable your modem; hence, blocking all updates.
