Non Bose system with factory sub?

23 Badlands high package.. Setting up to upgrade system and I noticed there’s a subwoofer?? What am I missing here? How does non Bose system have a subwoofer?

I believe the 23's were to come with a 7 speaker system which included a subwoofer. Due to constraints the sub was deleted, still a 6 speaker system. if you were to look inside you'll find a speaker missing the magnet and an empty circuit board. Although you may be one of the lucky early orders that received the 7 speaker system before the delete. Does order show a -$250 delete?

There’s definitely a very crappy subwoofer producing some bass from the enclosure. I haven’t taken the panel off to investigate yet. But there’s definitely a sub. What’s confusing is that I don’t have a front Dash center speaker

When was yours built? After about mid December, the sub and amp was deleted an reflected on your window sticker. Still has the panel and a non functioning carcass of a speaker installed.

And you won’t. It is still the standard audio setup. You are just one of the few in 23MY to get the added-on sub before they deleted it again due to constraints.

This is my plan. What's size sub will it fit and is it enough? And then what about the amp - is there one for the sub? That's the questions.

We have a build date of 12/5 on our OBX. Curious to see what is equipped if it ever arrives at the dealership. Is this the same sub that's making the noises driving people nuts?

i have a 23 badlands high as well.. mine had a jan 30th build date and came with working sub & amp behind there.. if anyone wants it sub/amp i took it out..

That's quite an outlier/rare bird with that build date AND working sub. Wonder how/why that worked like that.

ill take a look when i get home , its probably non working.. i just read the other thread that shows them with the amp & speaker but its fake.. i didnt even have the car 24 hours before i ripped it out so never actually heard it work..
