I was feeling a little Overlandy and bought some ActionTrax recovery boards. Super high quality and rubbery feeling. The boards won’t chatter in my vehicle when driving on trail and secure nicely with straps. Perfect fit in 2 door with seats down. Highly recommend, might get another pair but will see how these fair when stuck.
Wow super impressed with the Bronco. Checked out the North Sand Dunes near Walden, Colorado using the Bronco App. Those Good Year tires climbed up everything. Sand mode was excellent. Locks rear locker/turns on 4h/turns off traction control and made a noticeable difference in throttle response.
Tons more areas to explore in my nick of the woods.
Hit Black Mountain trail to a fire outlook near Laramie Peak then saw some bison on the way there. Trail was steep and had granite slabs and switchbacks to the top! Still bone stock.
I’m not changing much on my Bronco yet either…just some interior organization and camping/offroading items that won’t live in the Bronco full time. Definately want to run it stock a while.
Suggestion, since you’re not building a rig, move your trips to the Trip/Journal threads? I bet more members will see them there.
Either way, cool to follow along and see what a stock rig can do. Your trails there look awesome!
Nothing too difficult in my stock bronco this weekend besides the mosquitoes.
Squirrel Creek burn area trail started out in your typical Wyoming sage brush plains. Then climbed up some pretty steep hills to a burnt forest in the Medicine Bows. From there descended down a ridge to the valley floor to find a sign that read turn around here with a forest service gate blocking main road. Ton of fun then turned around and headed home. Almost 2k of total vert!
