This is a good recomendation, I will try this. THANKS!

No issues with OEM 2022. However I treat my glass with Griots ceramic 3in1 spray wax.

Anyone else not impressed with the OEM Bronco wipers?

Mine are already streaking and just don’t seem to make great contact with the windshield covered with bird poop and bug splatter.

I searched the forum but didn’t see a clear go-to upgrade. Are people running Bosch, Rain-X, or anything better?

Would love to hear what’s actually working long-term and able to clean the splatter.
Your local climate has more to do with how well your wipers function than whether or not they are OEM. Wipers that work fine in California won't last nearly as long through a Michigan Winter.

Try cleaning wiper blade with isopropyl on rag then spray siicoln on the rag and wipe blade. Also clay bar glass. Finally if getting chatter vice grip on cloth upper arm close to wiper while securing arm a few inches below with grips on cloth, and twist upper grip to change angle of wiper arm so it changes blade angle. Just a bit at a time. Saw it on YouTube and tried it ....works.

Apply RainX (the chemical, not the wipers..) every couple weeks, doesn't matter what wipers you have. 🤠

(Pro tip: wipe on the RainX, leave it. Don't buff it off.)

OEM, Rainx, Bosch, I've tried them all. I get about three showers out of a set, and they're toast. They're all just varying degrees of garbage, IMHO.

Before I started buying NEW vehicles, I always bought top shelf aftermarket wipers.. and it seemed like I still needed to replace them every year.

The two new vehicles I've bought though... Been able to drive for years on the factory blades without streaking or anything. Gonna be buying motorcraft blades whenever these wear out.. 3 years and counting.. Maine weather.

I've been running whatever the most expensive Bosch ones that Advance Auto had were. Spent like $70 on both, have had them on for over 2 years & they're pretty good. Much better than the OEM.

I put 2 sets of OEM on mine and they were not the best. i went with Bosch Icons next. they were ok for a bout 3 months before skipping and chattering. replaced with scrubblades. they were ok for about 2 months before smearing and skipping. So now I'm onto rain x latitude which have been good for about a year. I've never had so much trouble with wipers. I'm beginning to think its the Bronco.

I'm running the stocks one for 1 year now. Zero chatter or streaking, overall I'm very impressed. In the past I have been very happy with Bosch. Rainx is hot garbage, a few weeks after installing and it's chatter city.

As a dude selling wipers for almost 45 years,my advice is to change your wipers every year !!!
This is the key. IDK what is up with people in this thread keeping wipers for years or OP crying about his wipers that have likely degraded. I replace mine every year with regular Ford wipers and they are fine. You can't expect them to last year after year when they deal with hard winters, being out in the sun all day if it isn't garage stored, loose dirt, mud, etc... The rubber on the blades degrades over time just like tires, seals, etc... do. It isn't rocket science.

It's like $40 a year, just get new ones.

Over the years, I've tried many options. I admit, it has been many years since I have tried new options. I feel swapping out wipers every year with OEM wipers provides the best performance.

I change mine every 6 months. I live in the south so as soon as it’s warm it’s bug season and I can’t keep them off my windshield. I drive a lot in the rain for some reason also so they get used a good bit. Rain-x have been good to me. I try to wash the blades whenever I wash my bronco also, seems to help some

Timely thread. I changed to OTTO a year or so ago, but haven't been impressed. Will try Bosch next I guess.
