Do you need beadlocks to drive in a swamp? Maybe swampsquatch is more appropriate?

Needs mudflaps. I do like the desert sand color but would paint the arches. However my reservation got used and is in garage.

That extended vent opening on the front axle is not only a mile long but also in front of the axle, just where it should not be. First traverse of underwater cypress roots will rip it off
that's the rear axle no? isn't that the muffler on the right?

I haven't paid attention since my last post on here and I have no intentions of catching up. I just want to say that those wheels are kickass, and I call dibs on the first set that inevitably get replaced with bronze methods.

everglades-bronco-photos-pricing-8-jpg.jpg

Ford has unveiled the Bronco Everglades, a special edition trim of their popular off-road utility vehicle.

This new trim made its debut online prior to it’s Chicago Auto Show spotlight, and follows the recent unveiling of the Bronco Raptor. Where the Bronco Raptor was built for high-speed dune racing and the dry conditions of the Baja, the Everglades takes a slower, wetter, and more utilitarian approach to off-road enjoyment.

The most notable feature of the Everglades is the factory-installed snorkel along the passenger A-pillar, which allows for air to be safely sucked into the intake while traversing standing water. It's design allows for quick swapping of the direction of the air inlet. Another standout is the WARN winch mounted to the Ford Performance heavy-duty front bumper. Rated at 10,000 pounds, the winch can hook up to vehicles, objects and obstacles with a 100-foot synthetic line. The bumper and winch partially disguise the incognito Carbonized Gray grille and blacked-out “Bronco” lettering.

The next thing you may notice is the package-exclusive side decals. Replacing the standard triangle badges found on other Broncos, the Everglades feature a unique quarter fender graphic on either side. It shows the topography of the Florida Everglades, paying homage to the tropical wetlands the vehicle is named after. Speaking of fenders, the Bronco Everglades sports unique squared wheel arches flaring out to Sasquatch Package width. Those arches shroud 35-inch Goodyear mud-terrain tires wrapping special 17-inch Carbonized Gray alloy wheels.

Less notable features include the front and rear axles, the transfer case and transmission, which have been engineered with raised vents for improved water fording. Along with the aforementioned snorkel, this allows the Bronco Everglades to traverse 36.4 inches of water.

The Bronco Everglades starts as a 4-door Bronco equipped with the Bronco Sasquatch Package and all the off-road accouterments we’ve seen before. It’s powered by the Bronco’s 2.3-liter 4-cylinder Ecoboost engine, delivering 300 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque. That is then paired to Ford’s 10-speed automatic transmission and an advanced 4x4 system. The same Goes Over Any Type of Terrain (GOAT) modes are also present, allowing drivers to traverse through a variety of conditions.

Inside, the interior features a unique variant of Ford’s marine-grade vinyl; a gray and black color scheme with a matching dashboard. Urban Green accents adorn the grab handles, air vents and seat stitching. In addition to mid-package content, the Bronco Everglades will include the high-package’s 12-inch SYNC 4 infotainment system.

These special edition Broncos will be available in five exterior colors: Eruption Green, Area 51, Shadow Black, Cactus Gray, and the trim-exclusive Desert Sand. Additional exterior goodies include rock rails, a molded-in-color hardtop and a roof rack with crossbars.
The Bronco Everglades is expected to reach dealerships sometime this summer. Pricing, after destination fees, starts at $54,495; however, it should be noted that they are currently only available for existing Bronco reservation holders.

Oh, and we probably need a few dozen more posts grousing about Ford releasing new editions🙄🙄🙄. The development of this or the Raptor has zero effect on what's happening on the assembly line. The Engineering and Marketing groups don't stop working just because there are issues on the Manufacturing side. Delaying either would have no benefit to getting Broncos out the door any sooner. Both have been in development for awhile, likely long before the supply chain imploded. And the Raptor and Everglades will probably still face the same constraint issues, if they still exist when they go into production, as any other Bronco being built at the time.
Also it’s not like Ford is trying to not build everyone’s Bronco. There’s a realistic limit of what can actually be built. They know what will keep the lines moving and what won’t. That’s why you see people with no reservations getting their Bronco. If they only focused on everyone’s specific order they wouldn’t make much progress building any Broncos. Same goes with these special editions and why they really are limited, they allocate a rough buildable amount and that’s all you get. They weren’t shy about explaining how surprised they were everyone was going for top trims. Hence why you see so many Big Bends and Outer Banks. They expected those to be the big bulk. It’s not to excuse Ford but damn I feel like people don’t understand how a business has to work.

SPECIAL-EDITION FORD BRONCO EVERGLADES ENGINEERED AND OUTFITTED TO TAKE ON EXTREME ADVENTURES WITH CONFIDENCE

CHICAGO, Feb. 10, 2022 – For off-roaders looking to go further off the grid, Ford today is debuting the new 2022 Ford Bronco® Everglades™ special edition – an SUV born to breathe when the air gets thick and designed to press on when the trail turns others around.

For decades, Bronco SUVs have traversed remote locations with G.O.A.T. – Goes Over Any Type of Terrain – mentality. Bronco Everglades, available as a four-door model, takes that spirit to the next level with confidence-building, factory-installed features such as a snorkel, integrated front bumper-mounted winch**, and all the off-road equipment in the Bronco Sasquatch™ Package.

“Bronco customers like to explore new places, but some want to go even further off the trail than others,” said Jolanta Coffey, Bronco chief engineer. “Everglades is specially equipped to enable these customers to tackle even more challenging terrains and trails – and with the front bumper-mounted winch, they can help others out of trouble while they’re at it.”

Bronco Everglades packed with rugged off-road hardware

Bronco Everglades introduces a class-exclusive* signature snorkel. Designed and engineered by Ford, the snorkel – which runs up the passenger-side A-pillar – optimizes vehicle performance in dust, snow and water by raising the engine air intake above nasty trail conditions. Its design uses two easy-to-swap plates to change the direction of the inlet based on trail and weather conditions.

“Bronco enthusiasts demand style as well as performance, so we challenged ourselves to create a snorkel with high-end function and a look that really suits the vehicle,” said Ryan Olsson, design manager. “What really sets the Everglades snorkel apart is the head and reversible intake. It completely changes the way a snorkel can look and function.”

Front and rear axles, transfer case and transmission also offer raised vents for improved water fording. Combined, these design changes lead to water fording capability of 36.4 inches.

For situations when Bronco Everglades or another vehicle needs extra traction beyond what the tires and engine can provide, a heavy-duty modular front bumper by Ford Performance with ZEON 10-S WARN® winch – featuring 10,000-pound capability† and a 100-foot synthetic line – is ready to help. Everglades also comes standard with a protective safari bar, rock rails and the same steel bash plates found on Black Diamond™ and Badlands™ Bronco models. A unique Carbonized Gray grille with gloss black Bronco lettering enhances its functional appearance.

The Sasquatch Package features 17-inch Carbonized Gray-painted alloy wheels with 35-inch Goodyear mud-terrain tires. Additional exterior appointments include rock rails to protect the lower sills, plus a molded-in-color hardtop and roof rack with crossbars.

Squared wheel arches for a unique Bronco look

The Bronco design team took advantage of the SUV’s patented off-road modular design in creating the Everglades edition, further underscoring how this user-friendly platform can be stripped to its base structure and reconfigured for another new adventure with a different body setup. The vehicle features unique squared front and rear wheel arches with matching Sasquatch-width fender flares.

Unique graphics with Everglades topography deliver style on the front quarter fenders, cleverly paying homage to the tropical wetlands that inspire the vehicle’s name.

Bronco Everglades is easy to clean after a weekend on the trails with standard marine-grade vinyl seats and rubberized washout flooring. New Urban Green accents provide a subtle color touch on grab handles, air register vents and seat stitching.

In addition to mid-package content, Bronco Everglades features a class-exclusive 12-inch SYNC® 4 system with Ford Power-Up over-the-air software updates – a unique combination based on customer feedback. Its 2.3-liter EcoBoost® delivers 300 horsepower and 325 lb.-ft. of torque†, the most torque from a four-cylinder gas engine in its class, and is paired to a class-exclusive SelectShift® 10-speed automatic transmission with advanced 4x4 system and a maximum 67.8:1 crawl ratio.

The new 2022 Bronco Everglades is available in five exterior colors, including Everglades-exclusive low-volume Desert Sand, plus Eruption Green, Area 51, Shadow Black and Cactus Gray.

Bronco Everglades will join the Bronco lineup of Built Wild™ 4x4 SUVs this summer. Ordering begins in March, exclusively for existing Bronco reservation holders. Pricing will start at $53,000 plus $1,495 destination and delivery charges.

Already speaking to my local dealer and there will be a market adjustment “agreed upon by all dealers” for this one. This is coming from a dealer that does not adjust beyond MSRP (including my current order and others who took delivery)…so not sure. I’m on the list now so we will see.
