Hello everyone, just wondering if we are running the Motorcraft synthetic blend or the Motorcraft full synthetic in our bronco raptors? I’m about to do my first oil change and wondering what you guys are using?
Thanks
Pennzoil ultra platinum on my Explorer ST and 2.7 Bronco, will not use anything else

Really? Another oil thread? I use mobil 1 oil and filters. Same as I use on my Tacoma.

Full synthetic. Any name brand. Less likely to turn to carbon from turbo heat, flows better on extremely cold startups. Maintains viscosity at extreme temperatures.

I use Amsoil.

Either of Ford's oil is fine. Full Syn has properties that are better especially for longer runs between changes. Any oil that meets Ford's specs for oil will be fine. Actually any API SP rated oil will be just fine.

All the above is true if you change your oil and filter when it is time to change it. I use an SP rated oil and change around every 5,000 miles. We could go farther but we live on a dirt road.
Change mine every 3500 faithfully.

Pennzoil Platinum in the engine and I will switch to Amsoil for all the running gear once I hit 10K. Since I'm changing running gear every 3K I'm just using Mobile Gear oil in the diff's and Pennzoil in the T-Case for now. I have and still use Quaker State in my Escalade and have been very happy with it but decided to switch it up for the Bronc.

I've been a fan of Royal Purple for the last few years in my Rubicon. Anybody using that oil?

This is going in at 1k for my first oil change. Gonna run either mobile 1 or something similar.

Very cool mod. No mods needed for clearance? Are the metal canisters definitively better than factory?

Is this claim from Baxter valid,

"Provides faster oil pressure at startup by keeping the upper oil system flooded."

Probably, It has an anti-drain back valve to keep the filter full at shutdown. The small valve shown is to drain the filter prior to changing.

And the factory system does not? TIA.

Do you change your own oil? It does not.
Thanks. No, why? I already bring my own oil AND filter when I get it changes.
