Order Process

I went in to place my order with my dealer this am. He sat down with me and pulled up the B&P sheet I sent him to confirm what I want. He showed me the list of reservations they have. I'm #58 on the list of 187 reservations. He said I will probably get bumped up closer to the front since some of the people in front of me choose options that will put them to MY22. He seems positive that I will be on the first delivery (7/14 reservation if you're wondering). Something weird he said is that they are only placing 50 orders at a time (he didn't elaborate on details) and he doesn't know how many are allocated to them. Here are my questions...

1) Those of you that have already placed the order and got confirmation email, did you guys actually sit down and input it on a computer?
2) I have not received a confirmation email from Ford, nor has my status changed on my account on the website. Why are they "batching" order (50 at a time?) how does that help them, ford, or the customer?
3) I've been reading that some people have an actual "total" tax, tag, title, etc...all he gave me was a "ball park" of what total cost would be when I asked him what the Toal would look like. Did I miss something?
4) What did your order process look like?

Not sure why he is giving a ball park since the order sheets I have seen show A/Z, D, X plan, and MSRP pricing. Maybe you will land somewhere between all of them. You do have to sign the sheet though so maybe thats why it doesn't show on your account?

You need to know the price, in writing, now. Personally, the tax is irrelevant as it is an outside legal entity collecting it BUT, I want to know the price of the vehicle, documentation fees, and any other "cost" that is a part of my purchase BEFORE I sign on any line. Without a signed document, you have zero recourse for what happens to you on delivery day when the dealer says $3000 ADM and you too could drive this beautiful, customized Bronco home today. Just sign here...

Be smarter than that, get your common sense in gear, and get the written price plus extras, fees, etc. in writing NOW. You will regret it if you do not.

I get what you’re saying, but i can still walk away at time of delivery...they didn’t ask for deposit (which i wish they did) so all I’ve spent so far is $100 on reservation. The thing is, I’m in this all in...I’ve been waiting for a bronco since the first concepts back in early 2000 so i probably wouldn’t care what the end price is, but it would be really nice to know ??. It’s more of the uncertainty that’s killin me...no email confirmation, no final price, no confirmation that I’ll get first delivery, no confirmation on allocation....basically he could have just done what we did today on the phone...

No need for the sarcasm lol i was asking if you got a final price if you did place your order? And like i said i can walk away up to delivery....or am i wrong? I haven’t signed anything which is another worry..

Yes, in writing!!!! My dealer is honoring the entire X-plan pricing arrangement that Ford would normally offer if the Bronco was a part of the official X-plan program. To reiterate, Ford is NOT offering an official X-plan for Bronco this year. This is something arranged, again, in writing, between me and my dealer.

Bull#(^(^&$)#. Pricing is known now. We all know it, and so does your dealer. So, let us hope there is a new dealer in your future....

Ford corporate has stated that a part of the process is to confirm your deal BEFORE order placement with your dealer of choice. So, if Ford corporate is tellin....you will figure it out, or you won't.

Well I would normally say "RUN", but since you already converted your reservation to an order, you can't change dealers.

Your dealer is lying to you.

Yes, you can always walk away when the delivery comes in, but that's even better for the dealer, because he can take YOUR Bronco and put it on his lot and sell it at a marked up price to any yahoo off the street. And what are you left with? Nothing and a bunch of wasted time.
