A buddy of mine ships OEM parts to Ford. He had a 2 door bronco shell come to his job site he said it is headed to Mexico to get retrofitted for a soft top for mass production. See in the photos.

This was exactly what I was thinking reading this.Sounds like a new vendor manufacturing facility is being brought online to support and augment whatever issues have been happening with hard tops to give customers greater access to the soft top at time of order.
Probably drastically easier to do with soft tops than hard tops given the that no forming and parts production is needed, just rolls of raw materials, some sewing machines and a good pair of shears (assuming Ford stamped out the frame).
Just a point:So if they are the same price, which one are you taking?
MIC Grey hard top or Black soft top?
Lol for like a month then it would look like shitI hope it comes in white - canvas white top would be retro as hell.
Which ever one is available first! Honestly, as a first edition reservation, I would be willing to purchase a soft top (if allowed) for delivery and then purchase a painted hard top when available through my dealer. That may not be a popular opinion though. So if they are the same price, which one are you taking?
