I have a buddy back in Texas that has not told his wife that he's getting a new Bronco. He doesn't post here, that I know of. He's getting a fully loaded 2 door carbonized grey sasquatched Badlands, with a ton of accessories.

He has a company provided truck that is his daily driver, and he plans on parking his Bronco at the office when he gets it, and never bringing it home. Yeah, yeah, I know, I keep telling him that this is no way to have a marriage, but it's his life. Besides our other friends and I get a huge kick out of shenanigans with his wife.

They've got 3 kids ranging in ages 13 to 6. He regularly tells his wife that he has to travel for work, but actually just takes PTO and gets away by himself to go fishing, hunting, the beach, etc. to get away from the family for a while. He's got a great job, and makes a good living, but just misses his single lifestyle every once in a while.

I wonder what his wife has “parked at the office” that he has no idea about.

Unless you're some wiz who's going to retire at 40, she can probably tell by looking at your old ass or the fact that you have that prescription that you disappear to take just before coming to bed about that time when you turn that slow music on...... for me, she knows from night of the reveal. She's also the one mostly paying for it, Bay Area economics run funny.
We're both looking forward to it, as are the kids.

As for that buddy with the hidden Bronco at work, don't think that's gonna play out well. Scale down to base and get the wife excited, or if that's out of $ reach right now, just wait a couple more years, get a used one. There will be many pristine mall-crawlers that never saw a rock in their drivespan.

Wife knows I'm interested, but not that I put in the order just because of the long delivery timeline. She'll know before I bring it home, and we'll plan a trip to somewhere she loves (Ouray CO) to smooth any hard feelings over.
