Just got back from a Ford body shop - my issue (at least as of now) is the front fender needs to be "adjusted" (no idea what that entails - the AWESOME technician evaluating it for me said it involved removing it and and adjusting it "forward" to achieve a better door-to-fender alignment. Total time about 1-2 hours. Problem now is that this dealer said that Ford won't pay for it, because this was missed in the PDI from the origin dealership. I am going to simply pay it and then attempt to get reimbursement from the dealership (as was committed to by them when they told me I could find a local body shop instead of waiting for theirs). Hoping for the best with "that" battle...

So far (1 month of ownership, 300 miles) 2 quality issues (this one, and a defective rock rail that required full replacement). Losing a bit of confidence here with Quality Control - I had 2 F150 Raptors previously with ZERO issues (at delivery or post delivery) so hoping these are 2 anomalies...

UPDATE: Thank you everyone! @Reidt131 @coverthawk @frdfan @Jhebs @flip

I was able speak the the general manager of my dealership and he referred me to a local body shop place to fix the issue. It took less than half a day to resolve from start to finish and I was able to use the step-by-step instructions from @flip to show the body shop manager. Everyone was in agreement the door panels shouldn't be so skewed and it was corrected under warranty.

I hope this thread can help other people with the same issue as I've seen misaligned gaps in every 2024 I've seen on the lot so far.

Fixed! Thank you to my local dealer and all of you here at bronco6g!

Hello, total n00b here. I noticed my driver side door of my new 2024 Bronco Badlands has a gap that is larger on the top than the bottom between the door and front panels of the driver's side of the vehicle. And when I go to open the door the bottom of the door almost touches the bottom of the front fender.

The passenger side door doesn't have this same wide to narrow gap, the gap is equal all the way down.

And when you look at the other side of the driver door you can see the opposite, as if the door was aligned off-kilter. The top of the door almost pinches the rear fender.

So I asked my dealer about this and I was send some images from other 2024 models currently on the lot with the explanation that "it is designed this way for off-roading to allow the vehicle body to flex since most of the flexing would happen at the top of the vehicle" — which I don't fully understand.

Does this make sense to anyone? Would it be possible to explain this to someone as if I was a five year old?

Why would the driver door have this and not the passenger door?

Does your 2024 model look like this too?

It needs to be aligned, might get worse and chip your paint.

It's from the Ford workshop manual.
THANK YOU! We have a 2023 OBX 4 door and I recently noticed the front doors rubbing on the lower kick panel as the paint was getting scuffed. Both front doors sat deeper than the front fender from day one but I did t think too much of it (it's a Bronco not some high end car)
Anyway, I contacted the dealer last week and they said a $150 diagnostic fee and they will probably end up sending it to a bodyshop as the vehicle has 22,000mi and is out of the 3 year warranty since April 15th....

I just happened to stumble on this thread a few days ago. I thought, what's the worst that can happen- I mare the paint in the door bolts?

The adjustment on all for doors took about 5 min with one 13mm ratcheting wrench and a 13mm socket for the rear doors(i accessed the rear door hinge with the front door open and did not have to removethe rear door lstch). The lines are the way they should have been from factory and have a perfect reveal.

Now all I have to do it touch up some paint issues.

Thank you!
