My Yaesu 400 remains located here:

Ford Bronco Radio Mounting Options 1666806003084

After 9 months of it in this spot, I think I'd like to relocate it. It's partially in the way. of the glovebox, and not all that comfy for the passenger either. I use a remote speaker mounted to the 67D rail on the dash, so I'm not worried about the audio being heard. I'm hoping some other folks have come up with better spots. I know one user mounted his behind the interior fuse box, but for the life of me I could not remove that thing and have no idea how they pulled it off without a saw-zaw or taking the entire dash apart. I have the kicker key amplifier situated above the glove box right now, but am open to relocating that. Ideally, I'd still prefer to have some hands-on access to this thing as I do tend to remove the MicroSD card to make bulk changes to the memory settings using a PC.

and yes, I'm insanely jealous of you midland guys hiding that radio below the console, unfortunately my entire off-roading crew uses HAM

I need to get back under there and look. That was about where I attempted to mount before, but couldn't get the fuse box out of the way to drill and finish it off.

In that thread I shared IIRC there is another option showing how he mounted to the left of the steering column. I think he used existing hardware

Got my Yazoo FTM400 in the truck this evening.
The main radio is stuffed betwixt the back seats...I ain't got no friends, and it's a 2 door, so...
I had a place picked out for the radio, but the &%%#@#$ extension cables I bought for the control head and mic aren't long enough...so back to the drawing board.
At least I can use my radio, just don't let any big foots in the back seat...

I've been keeping an eye on @Lobo Off-Road's upcoming Overhead Mount System. Chris had a first article of it in his Bronco at KOH and it looked like just what I need for mine, since I've been thinking of ways to put the radio up there along with some dome lights and a SwitchPro. He said he hasn't really posted anything about it yet because it's still in development but there's already a page for it on his website HERE.
