Likely, it isn't exactly specified early on in the maintenance schedule if you follow the Factory Reqs for normal driving (like 150k or something?)

Yeah the factory spec is 150k... I was like seriously? That's just begging for excessive wear on the diff gears. Decided to change mine every 25-50k mi depending on how hard I've been driving it. 25k for the transfer case since it's so easy and I don't want to risk wear on the clutch pack.

I've found the fluid gets pretty nasty in the first few thousand miles in these diffs pretty quick, but once you get that break-in done the wear significantly settles down. I did mine after the first 5k (both from new and from a recent regear) and it was pretty nasty coming out, but the subsequent changes have been decent.

I don't have 4A so I don't know how that T-case wears over time. I did do my part time T-case at 25 and 50, but the fluid in it looked pristine both times; I didn't do it at 75k. Will probably re-do it at 100 just because 100k is a nice round number though.

I wonder about this as well. Is the friction-clutch pack in the 4A case under any more stress or subject to more 'wear' then the friction-clutch packs in Ford's 10R60 transmission?

Don't know the answer, but I suspect not.

If so, then would that mean a similar change interval (depending on your conditions)?
